Promot^® WP

PROMOT WP - Microbiological Plant Growth Promoter

Promot^® is a natural product derived from the fermentation of selected microorganisms of the Trichoderma spp. (Trichoderma koningii and Trichoderma harzianum). Its ingredients include living microorganisms, enzyme complexes and nutrients, and are all beneficial to plant growth.

The microorganisms in Promot^® are in the form of spores which are protected from adverse conditions and germinate as soon as the environment becomes favorable.

Effectiveness

Following effects could be observed:

Ressistence to fungal diseases

Trichoderma species are natural antagonists of soil-borne pathogenic fungi. Trichoderma koningii, Trichoderma harzianum have been documented as retarding the following destructive pathogenic fungi:

Rhizoctonia solani

Sclerotium rolfsii

Pythium species

Fusarium solani and F. oxysporum

Application rate

The recommended rate per treatment is 1.0-3.0 kgs of PROMOT powder per hectare. At least one application per season for annual crops and two applications per year for perrenial crops and orchard trees.

Seed application: For some crops, it is possible to apply the same recommended rate per hectare by mixing with the seeds before planting.
Spraying: Dilute PROMOT in water, spray solution uniformly on the soil surface and incorporate immediately to a depth of 10-15 cm before planting.
Injecting via irrigation systems: Dilute PROMOT in water and inject solution via the drip, sprinkler, pivot, etc.. with the first irrigation after sowing or transplanting.

Manufacturing of Potting Soil: Mix 1 kg of PROMOT with 500 kilograms of potting soil. DO NOT steam or sterilize the soil after mixing with PROMOT.
Seed Treatment: Mix PROMOT powder with seeds at a rate of 1.0-2.0 kgs per 500 kgs of seeds. Use a small amount of water if necessary for sticking on seeds.
Transplanting: Dilute PROMOT powder at the rate of 10 grams per one liter of water and dip the roots of plants in the solution at transplanting or water the plants before transplanting.
Cuttings and Bulbs: Dilute PROMOT powder at 10 grams per one liter of water and dip the cuttings or bulbs prior to planting.
House Plants: Before planting : Mix 10 grams of PROMOT powder with 5 kgs of potting soil. Established pots : Dilute PROMOT powder at 5 grams per one liter of water and apply 0-100 ml per pot just before irrigation.
Garden or Flower Beds: Dilute 30 grams of PROMOT powder with 10 - 20 liters of water and apply the solution to the soil; it may also be applied directly on the seeds.
Manufacturing of Potting Soil: Mix 1 kg of PROMOT with 500 kilograms of potting soil. DO NOT steam or sterilize the soil after mixing with PROMOT.

Time of application

PROMOT is not a plant food and does not substitute fertilizers. It may be mixed with most fertilizers just prior to application.

Do not mix PROMOT with fungicides, insecticides, herbicides, etc.. Allow at least 48 hours between the application of PROMOT and these chemicals.
